The Nissan Pathfinder is a three-row midsize SUV ready to blaze new trails across both the familiar and unconventional paths around New Haven, CT, and beyond. Now in its fifth generation, the Nissan Pathfinder is expected to retain many of the same features from previous years and add a few more of its own.
The standard 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers 284 horsepower and 259 pounds-feet of torque and is expected to be broadly similar to previous years. The Rock Creek trim also sports an improved engine with 295 horsepower and 270 pounds-feet of torque that should be similar. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard, but drivers can choose between a front-wheel or all-wheel drive system.
The 2024 Nissan Pathfinder comes with cloth upholstery, automatic LED headlights, a black grille, chrome surround, a seven-inch multi-function information cluster, a six-speaker audio system, and an eight-inch NissanConnect touchscreen display with voice recognition technology and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. The maximum cargo capacity with all rear seats folded down is up to 80.5 cubic feet. With its advanced driver-assistance features and durable design, the Nissan Pathfinder has earned the 2024 IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Award.
While the exact features have yet to be announced, the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder could make serious changes to core driver-assistance technologies, color choices, and styling elements throughout the vehicle, but otherwise, many of the features are likely to be similar. It is expected to be released in the second half of 2024.
